Hello from Hackney Jiu Jitsu Club!
Based in North East London, Hackney Jitsu club teaches a modern style of Jiu jitsu (Jujutsu/Ju-jitsu/Jiujitsu), a defensive martial art which has its origins in Japan. Jiu jitsu uses a system of locks, strikes and throws built on the principal of using an attackers momentum against them. This makes much of what we learn an excellent, practical form of self-defence for both men and women. Defences are learned against single and multiple attackers, both armed and unarmed. As well as martial arts training in a safe and fun environment, you get a fantastic cardiovascular work out which builds both fitness and self-confidence.
We train Wednesday night, 20.00 – 22.00 in the Community Hall at Queensbridge Sports Centre http://goo.gl/maps/wf9bj, only 5 mins walk from Dalston Junction and Haggerston overground stations. We’re also only a short walk from London Fields or Hackney Downs stations, which both run regular services to and from Liverpool Street.
Beginners are always welcome, and your first session is completely free – just come along in loose clothing and join in.
For January 2016 we have a special offer – all our sessions will be free for those who are brand new to jitsu. So now is the perfect time to try us out and bring a friend.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
